Careers with Social Impact and the Call for Strong Women Leaders in Education Webinar

EDIT: This webinar has been cancelled. It will be rescheduled at a later date.

Teach for America

Educational inequity faces many of our young girls in the K-12 educational system, particularly girls from low-income communities, and the implications extend well beyond their school years into their future earning potential.  We need strong leaders in education to help solve these important challenges. Many women are finding that the leadership skills developed in MBA programs are an influential force in a wide range of career paths, including social impact professions.

Please join us for an online discussion with Teach For America and Forté Foundation about how you can make a positive impact on social causes by combining an MBA with a career path in education. Attendees will gain an understanding of what they need to do now to build leadership skills and a strong career in their chosen profession. They will hear about the broader challenges facing youth and will learn how they can join Teach for America as Corps Members to engage in various leadership careers that focus on advocating for educational equity.

Helen Chan, a former consultant who changed careers to become a Teach For America corps member will be hosting this webinar with Laurie Stewart, Forté Foundation Director of School Relations who oversees pre-MBA programming. Laurie will share insight into how an MBA provides leadership preparation for any chosen field, including social impact careers. Attendees will also be able to connect with guest speaker, Cecilia Paz Aguilar (Manager of Learning and Teaching Development at Teach For America and Forté Member) to learn how she applied her MBA and Masters in Education toward a leadership career in education.
