Using Your Strengths to Find Your Own Path

Afua Bruce is paving her own path in the world of technology. There weren’t many women ahead of her that traveled the road from software engineer at IBM, to roles with the FBI and the White House, to now as Director of Engineering for the Public Interest Technology Program at New America.

Bruce sat down with Forté Foundation to discuss her winding path that went through University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business. Among many other things, she shares how knowing who she is – from her individual quirks to her core principles – has helped her tailor the advice and direction she’s received throughout her career to find success as she sees it.
